Questions
Which chains does it fit?
A SRAM Eagle 12-speed chain (NX, GX, X01, or XX1 Eagle, the hanger-mounted roller chains). It is stamped Eagle, the mark SRAM uses for this chain family.
Can I reuse it?
No. A SRAM PowerLock is single-use. Once it has been closed, fit a fresh one the next time you join the chain, and open the old one with master-link pliers. Reusing a connector risks a broken chain.
How do I install it?
Set the connector so the arrow on the outer plate points in the direction the chain travels. Bring the two chain ends together and close it by hand, then lock it with a firm pedal stroke while you hold the rear brake, until it clicks.
Can I use it on a different SRAM chain?
No. SRAM's road, Eagle, and Eagle Transmission chains each take a different PowerLock, and they do not interchange. This one is stamped Eagle for Eagle 12-speed chains. For SRAM Eagle Transmission (T-Type) Flattop chains use the SRAM T-Type Eagle Flattop PowerLock Connector; for SRAM 12-speed Flattop road chains (RED, Force, Rival, or Apex eTap AXS) use the SRAM 12-Speed Flattop PowerLock Connector. Match the stamp to your chain.
