Why we love it
We love that this ring puts an aero body on a direct-mount crank without giving up the narrow-wide chain retention.
- 01The aero body fills the space between the teeth and the crank interface, so the ring presents a smoother face than a cut-out chainring.
- 02The narrow-wide profile is the same one the round ring uses, so choosing the aero shape does not cost chain security.
- 03It is machined in Italy from 7075-T6 aluminum, from 112 g at 38T to 193 g at 52T.

Will it fit your bike?

- Single-chainring drivetrains
- 11-speed, 12-speed, and 13-speed chains, including Campagnolo Ekar and SRAM Flattop
Not compatible with
- Cranks from any other brand
- Double-chainring and triple-chainring setups
- Bolt-circle chainring spiders, unless you fit the Ingrid 110x5 BCD Spider and use a 110 BCD chainring
Confirm before ordering
This is a direct-mount chainring, so it fits Ingrid cranks only. Confirm the chainline for your spindle with Hammer & Howl before ordering, because the aero ring and the round ring do not sit at the same chainline.
Questions
It is out of stock. Can I still get one?
Not today, but you can ask Hammer & Howl for it. Ingrid makes this ring in six tooth counts from 38T to 52T, in Black, Silver, and Hard Anodized. Tell us the tooth count and finish you want, and we will work on bringing it in.
Will it fit a crank from another brand?
No. This is a direct-mount chainring made for the Ingrid crank interface, and Ingrid states it is compatible only with Ingrid cranksets. To use chainrings from other makers on an Ingrid crank, fit the Ingrid 110x5 BCD Spider instead.
Why does it start at 38T?
The aero body needs room between the teeth and the crank interface, so the shape works from 38T upward. For a smaller ring, the Ingrid Standard Direct-Mount Chainring starts at 30T.
Is it heavier than the round chainring?
Yes, at every shared tooth count. The aero ring is 112 g at 38T against 91 g for the round ring, and 193 g at 52T against 162 g. The extra material is the aero body.
Do I need a chain guide?
No. It uses the same narrow-wide profile as the round ring, with a tooth shape Ingrid optimizes for chain retention, so the chain stays seated on a single-chainring drivetrain.
