Overview

This Garbaruk Direct Mount Chainring installs on a Shimano direct-mount mountain bike crank for a single-chainring (1x) drivetrain. It is machined from 7075-T651 aluminum, color anodized, available in eight colors. Its chamfered edges and wide mud gap keep the ring from getting muddy, while its variable teeth thickness prevents chain dropping. Garbaruk's increased tooth height improves chain retention when the bike is jolted. Garbaruk offers the ring in two offsets to match your crank's chainline, which it calls variable chainline technology, so the chain lines up well with your cassette.

Yes, if it is a Shimano direct-mount mountain bike crank, such as SLX M7100, XT M8100 or M8200, or XTR M9100 or M9200. Choose the offset that matches your crank's chainline. See the Specifications and Will it fit sections before ordering.

Which offset should I choose?

Choose the offset for your crank's chainline. The 3mm offset gives a 52mm chainline for older Shimano cranks, such as XTR M9100, XT M8100, and SLX M7100. The 0mm offset gives a 55mm chainline for newer Shimano cranks, such as XTR M9200 and XT M8200. If you are not sure, check your crank specification or the Will it fit section before ordering.

Does it include a lockring?

No. This chainring does not include a lockring. A Shimano direct-mount crank normally holds the ring with its own lockring; confirm your crank's mounting before ordering.
