Overview

This Garbaruk Rear Derailleur Cage replaces the stock cage on a single-chainring (1x) Shimano 12-speed Di2 MTB or GRX derailleur. It is machined from 7075-T651 aluminum and is color anodized, available in eight colors. Garbaruk's cages enable the use of Garbaruk's oversized cassettes, supporting large cogs up to 52T.

What would I need this cage for?

To use a Garbaruk 52-tooth cassette on your Shimano Di2 derailleur, for an easier climbing gear. Shimano's official maximum for these derailleurs is a 51-tooth cog, so this cage lets a Shimano 1x 12-speed Di2 MTB or GRX derailleur use Garbaruk's 52-tooth cassettes, such as the Garbaruk 12-Speed Gen 2.0 MTB Cassette for Shimano Micro Spline, sold separately. It is machined from 7075-T651 aluminum and color anodized in eight colors.

Can I use this cage with a smaller cassette too?

Yes. The cage supports cassettes up to a 52-tooth cog, so you can keep it on and use a smaller cassette too, for example when you swap wheels. Have your mechanic set the chain length for the largest cassette you plan to use. If you are pairing two very different cassettes, see the Will it fit section or contact Hammer & Howl to confirm before ordering.

Will this cage fit my Shimano Di2 derailleur?

Yes, if it is one of the listed Shimano 12-speed Di2 mountain bike or GRX derailleurs (Deore, XT, XTR, or GRX Di2). It does not fit Shimano 12-speed mechanical derailleurs, Shimano 11-speed, or SRAM. Can I reuse my pulley wheels?

Yes. You can keep your derailleur's stock pulley wheels and pulley bolts, so there is no need to buy new ones to use the cage. If you want larger pulleys, the Garbaruk Rear Derailleur Pulleys for Shimano in the 14T + 16T set are sold separately.
