Overview

This Garbaruk Direct Mount Chainring installs on a SRAM 8-bolt road or gravel crank for a single-chainring (1x) drivetrain. It is machined from 7075-T651 aluminum, color anodized, available in eight colors. Its chamfered edges and wide mud gap keep the ring from getting muddy, while its variable teeth thickness prevents chain dropping. Garbaruk's increased tooth height improves chain retention when the bike is jolted. Garbaruk varies the ring's offset by size, which it calls variable chainline technology, so the chain lines up well with a wide-range cassette. It fits SRAM AXS and XPLR cranks, including RED, Force, Rival, and Apex.

Will this chainring fit my crank?

Yes, if it is a SRAM 8-bolt direct mount road or gravel crank. That includes SRAM RED XPLR, Force, Rival, and Apex 8-bolt cranks. See the Specifications and Will it fit sections for the full list before ordering.

Why does the offset change with the ring size?

Garbaruk varies the offset by ring size, which it calls variable chainline technology, so the chain lines up well with your cassette. The offset is built into each size; there is nothing to adjust yourself.

What does the aero design do?

Its face is solid and closed instead of the open cutouts of a standard ring, a shape designed to reduce drag as it turns.

Are the mounting bolts included?

No. This chainring does not include mounting bolts. You reuse the eight direct-mount bolts that came with your SRAM 8-bolt crank, or use a separate 8-bolt chainring bolt set.
