Overview

This Garbaruk Rear Derailleur Cage replaces the stock cage on a single-chainring (1x) Shimano GRX 11-speed gravel derailleur. It is machined from 7075-T651 aluminum and is color anodized, available in eight colors. It enables the use of a cassette up to a 50-tooth cog, larger than the derailleur's stock cage allows, for an easier climbing gear on gravel.

What would I need this cage for?

To use a cassette up to a 50-tooth cog, larger than your derailleur's stock cage allows, for an easier climbing gear. This cage replaces the stock cage on a Shimano GRX 11-speed gravel derailleur so it can wrap a bigger cassette. It is machined from 7075-T651 aluminum and color anodized in eight colors.

Can I use this cage with a smaller cassette too?

Yes. The cage supports cassettes up to a 50-tooth cog, so you can keep it on and use a smaller cassette too, for example when you swap wheels. Have your mechanic set the chain length for the largest cassette you plan to use. If you are pairing two very different cassettes, see the Will it fit section or contact Hammer & Howl to confirm before ordering.

Will this cage fit my Shimano GRX derailleur?

Yes, if it is the mechanical Shimano GRX 11-speed derailleur (RD-RX812). It does not fit the GRX Di2 11-speed derailleur, Shimano 11-speed mountain bike, Shimano 12-speed, or SRAM. See the Specifications and Will it fit sections before ordering.

Can I reuse my pulley wheels?

Yes. You can keep your derailleur's stock pulley wheels and pulley bolts, so there is no need to buy new ones to use the cage. If you want larger pulleys, the Garbaruk Rear Derailleur Pulleys for Shimano in the 11T + 16T set are sold separately.
