Why we love it
We love the natural, laser-etched titanium finish, set off by a bolt in the color you choose.
- 01The cap is machined from Grade 5 titanium and laser etched, for a clean, natural metal finish.
- 02It comes with a color anodized Al7075 Torx bolt, so you can add a spot of color to the natural titanium.
- 03At 8 grams it is heavier than the carbon cap but still far lighter than a stock top cap, with a solid metal feel.

Confirm before ordering
The titanium cap fits most 1 1/8 inch steerers, which is what most road, gravel, and mountain bikes use. It sits on top of the steerer and is held by its own bolt, which threads into the star nut or expander plug already in your fork. It replaces just the top cap, so you do not change your headset. For a 1 1/4 inch steerer, choose the oversize carbon cap instead.
Questions
What is the difference between the titanium and carbon X-Cap?
The titanium cap is natural laser-etched titanium and weighs 8 grams; the carbon cap is a carbon weave at about 5 grams. On both, the color you pick is the bolt, which is color anodized. Both fit a 1 1/8 inch steerer. Choose titanium for a metal cap, carbon for the lowest weight.
What steerer size does it fit?
It fits most 1 1/8 inch steerers, the standard size on most road, gravel, and mountain bikes. For a 1 1/4 inch steerer, choose the oversize carbon cap.
Does it come with a bolt?
Yes. Each cap comes with its color anodized Al7075 Torx bolt, so there is nothing else to buy except a star nut or expander plug if your fork does not already have one.
What colors does it come in?
The color you choose is the bolt, which is color anodized; the titanium cap keeps its natural finish. Which bolt colors are in stock is shown on the page.
