Overview
Why we love it
We love that Ingrid keeps making the tool for the older lockring shape rather than leaving those cranks unserviceable.
- 01It is the maker's own tool for the earlier Ingrid chainring lockring, so it seats on the pattern it was cut for instead of rounding it off.
- 02It keeps a crank on that shape serviceable, which is the whole point of a drivetrain built to be taken apart and put back together.

Questions
Is this the tool for my Ingrid chainring?
Only if your chainring lockring is the older shape. Ingrid lists this tool specifically for that pattern. Ingrid does not publish which cranks or chainrings carry the older shape. Contact Hammer & Howl before ordering if you cannot tell from the part in front of you.
Is this the same as the cassette tool?
No. The Ingrid XD Cassette Lockring Tool turns the inner-cup lockring on an Ingrid SRAM XD cassette. This one turns the chainring lockring on the crank. They are two different tools for two different lockrings.
How do I use it?
Fit the tool onto the chainring lockring, then turn it with a wrench. Tighten to the figure in your crank's instructions.
