Not included: A seatpost, and any tool. A seatpost clamp is tightened to the torque figure your frame maker publishes, so a torque wrench is the way to hit it.

Compatible with

  • Frames with a round seat tube measuring 30.0 mm, 31.8 mm, 32.6 mm, 34.9 mm or 36.4 mm across the outside at the collar
  • Frames specified at a 29.8 mm collar, which take the 30.0 mm clamp
  • Frames specified at a 32.0 mm collar, which take the 31.8 mm clamp
  • Frames specified at a 32.8 mm collar, which take the 32.6 mm clamp
  • Frames specified at a 35.0 mm collar, which take the 34.9 mm clamp
  • Frames specified at a 36.2 mm collar, which take the 36.4 mm clamp
  • Road, gravel and mountain frames alike, and any seatpost diameter that your frame already takes

Not compatible with

  • Frames with an integrated or wedge seat clamp built into the frame
  • Frames with a 33.1 mm seat collar, which falls between the 32.6 mm and 34.9 mm sizes
  • Seat tubes that are not round at the collar

Confirm before ordering

If you are not sure, measure the outside diameter of your frame's seat tube at the collar with a caliper.

You can also ask your bike mechanic, or contact Hammer & Howl before ordering.

One measurement decides fit: the outside diameter of your frame's seat tube at the collar.

Measure the seat tube, not the seatpost. A 27.2 mm seatpost sits inside seat tubes of several different outside diameters, so the post size does not tell you the clamp size.

If your frame maker publishes a seat clamp size, that figure is the one to use.
